We always ask, in a few words, how would you describe your boudoir session? "Empowering", "amazing", "Best time ever!", "So much fun!", "confident", "feel like you can do anything", "Oh my goddess!" is what we hear in the short form. But the best description we've heard is a bit longer
"I started off nervous because I've never done anything like this before. When I was younger, I was sexy, but now, I've started to see myself as just a plain mom who spends her days doing the same things over and over and my life revolves around my kids. I feel tired, rundown and bored but never sexy. Every layer of clothing that I peeled off in front of the camera was like peeling away a little bit of the everyday mundane me and revealing my sexy self again. This Session is Perfect For--couples, brides to be, women who need a boost, women who already got a boost and want to take advantage of it, milestone birthdays, women who have always wanted to do a boudoir session and didn't know where to start and finally, just...women. Boudoir sessions also make a great gift for anyone you might know that fits into one of those descriptions.
The Location
While we can't publicize the location quite like we wish we could, we're really excited about it. In the past we've shot at places like the Ritz Carlton, The Don Cesar, The Castle and a beautiful boutique hotel. We look for a location with separate rooms for shooting and for makeup and hair and an area to wait in and review photos. Sometimes we'll use adjoining rooms but it's ideal to have a suite and that's what we have this year. I always look for a place with at least one defining feature that puts it over the top and this place has more than one. My favorite is the large jacuzzi/tub in the room that's going to make for amazing photos. We also have a huge window to let in light and an amazing king sized bed with a glass and marble shower.
One thing we don't worry about when booking our location is the price. We just want it to be amazing!
